Why Water?

Today, fifteen 7-47s took off from Dulles International Airport in Washington DC. All of the planes crashed and all of the passengers (mostly children) died in the crash. It will happen again tomorrow, the next day, the next day and the next.

If what I just told you were true – we would not rest until the problem was solved. Not a single plane would take off until we eradicated the problem. The airplane scenario was fake, but the statistic is true. About six thousand children die each day of preventable water-borne diseases.

{The Safe Water Team was unable to help this village as the water is brackish and retrieved out of deep wells. Children climb down the holes using hand and foot holds to obtain the water for washing. This village has water trucked in for consumption. However, if the truck is late or a family cannot afford the water – they are forced to use brackish water.}
